You never know who you’ll meet on a Mediterranean cruise, but we never would have guessed an award-winning designer who only lived half an hour away from us in Canada. That’s why, upon moving into our new-to-us condo, we didn’t even have to think about who we’d ask to help us with our design.
Lara was attentive and patient, listening to us throw every idea we’d ever had at her about our space. She took notes and she took measurements. She smiled and nodded and you could tell she was processing every piece of information we were sharing.
We had a rough plan in mind and described that to her in detail. She asked a few more questions, then announced she had work to do. She said she’d provide us with a few options to consider.
The first design she shared was based on our neophyte space planning ideas. It was good but still needed some changes. Then, drumroll please, she presented us with what she would do with the space. I think at first, we were both a little shocked as it was so completely different than anything we’d ever imagined. As the minutes ticked away, the design grew on us more and more until we decided it was the only way we could go.
We can’t thank Lara enough for her ideas, her professionalism and her patience. We will definitely be using her again for any future projects.
